2017 Subaru Limited phone issue

i just had the entire radio replaced at Subaru.... too many issues to list here. Now, everything is working just fine EXCEPT I can’t get text messaging to work. The original radio had lost its ability also, so I think it’s a phone issue. I have an iPhone 8+ running IOS 11.2 ( new update as of today ). Anyone have any idea how to set this up?

I have heard that it doesn’t work on an iPhone, but it DID work at one time.

Try this. Go to your iphone's bluetooth settings. Hit the info button. Then turn on "Show Notifications.
