2011 seat belt light

my passenger seatbelt failure light comes on. my dealer said it was a problem with the seat sensor getting wet. I have a dog and also have to clean the seats regularly. The dealer fixed it but said not again. Subaru loves dogs. How do we clean the seats owlet the dog ride in the front seat without getting the seat wet?
