My daughter has a 05 forrester 25x,was running fine then just died on her in the middle of the road.after a tow and staring at it for awhile we decided that since it wouldnt start back up we would try a new battery and starter.noticed it was turning the engine but didnt seem to have any compression.battery and starter did nothing.after reading some forums and watching videos another person had same issue and fixed it by pulling the plugs and blasting penetrating oil into the pistons thinking they were stuck.worked for him but not for us..side note i wanna punch whoever designed a engine where you have to remove so many things just to get to the spark plugs! Going to a mechanic is not an option in any way.we are driveway mechanics so we know some but not all about cars and almost 0 about subarus.anyone have the same or similar problem that can help us???its the 4 cylinder model if that helps
