I washed and dried my Forester remote in last night's laundry and found it
in the drier when I emptied it this morning. It still works ;)

I've been washed all my 3 keyboards on purpose, 1 sony ericsson cell phone
by accident, and once dried out, all worked perfectly.

water does no harm if the part contains no capacitors, nor batteries(like
the keyboards). but it's very risky to do so if it contains batteries, which
will immediately short circuit the whole thing (my sony ericsson is oddy...
after dried for 1 week, 1 big day it self booted without problems). So since
remote has no capacitors and the lithium battery is not so powerful(maybe
luckily not short-circuited) to damage the whole thing, it should be no
problem.
