Waterproofing replacement head units for 2019 outback

I am getting a new head unit today for the bubbling problem on my 2019 outback.

I am wondering if anyone has had luck preventing the new one from failing.

I saw some people suggested caulking the cd drive or running weather strips on it. Has anyone had any luck protecting their new head units?
