TPMS Issues and Codes

Hello,

I have a 2019 Ascent that has lit up the TPMS warning light and puts up a big warning that says Check Owner's Manual. It is not reading any of the tires, just showing dashes. I have a code reader/TPMS tool. I do think one of the sensors is dead because the tool can't even read it, but the tool can read the other three and shoes their batteries as OK.

I also scanned on the OBD port and this is what I found on the TPMS module:
C2021, left front tire pressure decrease normal mode, history
C2022, right front tire pressure decrease normal mode, history
C2023, right rear tire pressure decrease normal mode, history
C2124, left rear transmitter no data, current
C2424, left rear transmitter battery voltage decrease, history

So I really believe the left rear is actually dead based on all of this. I'm just not sure why the other three are not reporting. I'm thinking I'll have all 4 sensors replaced since I'm about to have the tires changed anyway. I'm just concerned that there may be more to it, or maybe the one bad sensor is throwing the whole thing off? Any thoughts? Thanks!

I've gone through a similar thing with my 2020 Forester. My TPMS tool (xtool TP150) showed all sensors good. Car gave TPMS error but sill mostly kept providing pressure data. After a few months the dashboard readout stopped providing pressure for all sensors, although my TP150 could read all sensors just fine and also indicated all batteries OK. After another few weeks though my TP150 one day indicated the right rear tire sensor was dead. When I replaced that tire with the full-size spare (which had a sensor) TPMS started displaying pressures on the dash again, although it still also gave a TPMS error as well.

At this point, since one sensor has already failed and TPMS system still indicates TPMS error (although still reading all sensors) I'm assuming batteries in all sensors are nearly depleted after five years, and have ordered new sensors.

It's worth noting that the TPMS system in my Forester will not display tire pressure for any tires if the sensor for any one wheel is not working. I learned this a few years ago when using the original spare which had no TPMS sensor. (Seems like a poor design choice, but it is what it is.)
