Subary consumer affairs

I talked with subaru consumer affairs and learned that if the paint is
factory defect, it would be under warranty. The paint problem on the
front bumper might pass for factory defect. It would ahve to be
determined.

My question is during the repair under warranty, do I get a rental car
to use?

Some people do. Others rely on friends for transportation while they're
without their car. People also use public transportation, bicycles, and
their FEET!

If you're asking if SUBARU will provide one, you need to ask THEM. Some
dealers do provide transportation, others don't. It's their call to set
their own policies.

Having had the rear bumber re-painted on my '03 Impreza under warranty I can
tell you that a rental car is not included in the warranty. Fortunately the
body shop that did the work was willing to lend me a car while they did the
work.

At most dealers, yes.

Unless you've burned your bridges there.

Christ you bitches whine. Did it also have a topped off gas tank,
full oil on the dipstick, and antifreeze to the line in its
reservoir? Did you check levels for brake fluid, transmission fluid,
power steering fluid, battery electrolyte, windshield washer fluid...
before you handed over the check? Did you inspect the upholstery, the
trunk, under the seats and and under the car? Did you verify the
fees, add-ons, license, and taxes they charged you? Did you
disconnect the Black Box under the driver's seat that records your
speed and other interesting tidbits, and is remotely downloadable by
the cops and others?

Did you look at the odometer? Take some nail polish and color inside
the lines.

"perma plate" So amusing. If the dealer pushes it, you got screwed.

So now you are quoting Uncle Al. Oh Frank, I never felt so sorry for
anyone more in my life.

BTW, to those who wonder who Uncle Al is, he is an unemployed Ph.D
Chemists who said this about his own sister: one side of his sister's
breast's smaller than the other, etc.

Well..it seems that no one (dealer or manufaturere) is as nice is my
auto insurance company. Thanks for the info.

Well...they still want to sell me extended warranty but I doubt that I
would drive 55 miles to do any repair work under warranty or anything
that I would have to pay for.

Well...in this case, they are not doing the whole bumper anyway. In a
way, I prefer the original factory paint and since I do not plan to
sell this car, I decided to allow them to do touch up especially since
it's not somehting people can see unless they are looking for it. I am
even thinking to leave it like that.

What I have tried to do this morning is to see whether they would put
the spalsh guard (I already bought and sitting in the trunk) for free.
I would evevn like it better if they put that for me in exchnage for
the paint touch up but I am not askign that just so that I could reduce
stress and move on with my life. I already sold my old car, bought new
car and ready for Fall. A friend of mine coming from out of state and
we plan to get out of town, etc.

So?

Anyone familiar with human anatomy will tell you that's normal. And your
feet and hands aren't the same size, your face isn't bilaterally
symmetrical, and on and on. Why is this a problem?

He did a lot more than just that. Should a man who talk about one's own
sister in such deragatory way be respectable?

Uncle Al is outrageous and offends everyone, but he is a smart chemist and
often gives reasonable technical replies to chemical questions. It is
amusing that he picked right up on Amanda's whinny nature ;)

but he is a smart chemist

He is so smart that he has been trying to make diamond, at least, ever
since he started using usenet while he can't find employment.

Uncle Al, a Jewish from Brtisih Columnbia, is a racist, who has not
been able to use his PhD (Chemistry)except in sci.chem to attack people
and act like he is superior to every other chemist.

Shultz from a University in Israel best desribe Uncle Al.

Frank is such a loser that he can't come up with his own line and has
to use someone's else.

Anyway, enough playing Frank. Go sit down.

Amanda,

This is a Subaru group. If you'd rather insult people, it's time for you
to go sit down, too.

Rick

Rumor is Pakistan kicked her out and now we're stuck with her.
I, for one, had hoped she would not buy another Subaru ;)
