Starter inquiry .... '05 RS wagon

The starter sounds like a cheap little thing ...Compaired to the '91 Loyale
that I own ( I relize that they're different motors,) but is it normal that
it sounds "tinny", before it starts. It does start everytime . I'm almost
not tempted to "Show it off to freinds"

As long as it works you should be okay.

The car I learned to drive in was a '64 Dodge. The starter had a distinctive
sound. One day I was watching Japanese sci-fi movies and there was a war in
space between Japanese flying saucers and invading flying saucers. In the
dubbed audio, the sound of the ray guns used by the invading saucers was the
Dodge starter! Pretty hilarious to a teenager.
