Hello all,
Am new to the forum and have signed up for the expertise of anyone to help with a problem on my 2010 Impreza that can't seem to be explained. Am not able to get rid of the 512 code on my car for over a year. There are no issues starting the car as it runs near perfectly. The following has been done by a Subaru tech friend of mine on his own time:
- Replaced the alternator
- New reprogrammed ECU
- Replaced the engine harness
- Replaced upstream O2 sensor (threw a code for that)
- Replaced the camshaft position sensor (threw a code for that and has a permanent code on the scanner for that, but not current or pending)
- Swapped out the starter relay for the relay above it in the interior lower fuse box.
Can clear the code, but it will return in about 3-5 minutes. The traction control light also illuminates and depressing it's button does not shut it off. Of course the cruise control light blinks. Can clear the CEL while am driving, along with traction control light...and at that point, can depress the traction button on and off to my choosing. When clearing the CEL while in park, the traction control light cannot be cleared with my MAC scanner. Am exasperated and am hoping for someone's expertise to be lent to this unsolved mystery. Any help or suggestions are welcome.
