Radar detector went haywire

The other night I was driving going about 60 miles an hour when a group of 4 cars going the opposite direction passed by and all of a sudden my radar detector went haywire and all the lights on my dash lit up, my speedometer went down and back up along with the rpms. The radio went on and off and then the car completely died and I rolled to the side of the road. I waited a few minutes and the car started back up and I was able to drive home but the lights on the dash were still flashing and the radio kept turning on and off but the car never stalled again. I’m completely baffled by this and my only assumption is somehow when the other car’s passed me something triggered my car to shut down. I am up for any suggestions or answers on what could have happened and what I need to do to do to fix it.
