2012 Legacy. I rarely use the e.brake but I do use it 10 - 20 times a year. The brake light started flashing and I ignored it.
I was sitting outside my house waiting for someone and I thought engaging and disengaging would clear the warning.
No...it locked up. I used the parking brake tool, which didn't work, and then did some combo e.brake button pushing and it finally released. Over the last 3 weeks the light has been flashing again but very infrequently. It's on again this morning and it will probably be not-flashing when leave today.
'take it to the dealer' is the solution given. Does anyone have an experience with this problem?
