So, last weekend I did it. I bought a 2005 2.5i Outback 5 speed. There
are tons of automatics left here in northern California, but not many
manuals remaining. I went with the 5 speed for the better mileage and
the $1000 lower price tag. I only have 400 or so miles on it but am
averaging 26.1 mpg! It will be interesting to see if it improves as the
engine breaks in.
Does anyone know where I can find a divider to put in back of the rear
seat? I want to keep my dogs confined to the rear storage area. I heard
that the one Subaru offers screws into the headliner and pillars. I
want to avoid doing that if possible.
Thanks all!
