This is my first dip of the toes in the Subaru ownership game. I work at a small dealer, so I have sold about 20 Subarus in my career. Most of them were Foresters with high mileage. I have always wondered why the buyers were so passionate about the Subaru, even when they had such high miles.
A friend of mine was selling his as he was moving, so it became of interest. After trying it out for myself, I am starting to get it!
This "legacy" outback has 153k miles but he just had the head gaskets, timing belt, water pump, tires, and brakes replaced. It's like a new car!
I agreed to pay what he put into it, which was on the high side, but I am now assured that nothing should be wrong with it. This is almost like buying the car used but with a warranty.
I look forward to learning more about the "SUB" life!
