So my 2011 Forester has lost power there is nothing above 2,000rpms.i have done the following. It's a five speed if that helps. The car has 167K on it.
To make matters worse the check engine light isn't on.
Swapped out all the plugs replaced a coil pack because there was a misfire on cylinder #1. Changed the oil and filter, cleaned out the MAP sensor I didn't change it because as a whole it looked very clean inside. Replaced the PCV valve it was bad. I had a Mazda that did this and it was the intake hose going from the airbox to the engine. There are no tear in the hose. Thought I'd try taking the negative battery cable off and leave it off for 5 mins.
While it didn't stall it still didn't have any power. There is no smell of rotten eggs. Or a gas smell. Perhaps the oil filter/pump?
Come down the rabbit hole with me.
