So to address a vibration/thump thump(after new tire and brakes) I decided to swap out the front left cv axle. Upon freeing the wheel side splines, the differential side came out before I removed the pin.
When I inspected the housing, a malformed spring was in the hole so I retrieved that. Im reading about a c clip which is present but am nervous about the spring O shaped, that Im not sure about. Wondering how I should replace spline/stub, all I see as online is reference to a c clip, not a spring.
