Forester clutch noises

Hi All

Now that I've got the head gasket problem taken care of (don't ask), had
the third radiator put into the car (really, don't ask) and had the
emission control motor replaced (for the last time, don't ask), now the
clutch is starting to give me aggita. When I step on it, it emits a loud
creak - like the springs are about to break. Anyone have any ideas,
suggestions, etc.?

I don't have a technical answer, but have you looked at your state's
lemon law? Most lemon laws require three or more problems in order to
invoke. Your car is almost four years old, but you might have some
recourse there.

Yep, I THINK here in Texas the radiator issues MAY have been enough - 3
times for the same item. BUT (yes, its a big but) the problems must be in
a very short time span and in - like - the first year or something.

sorry you're having such bad luck with it.

There is a clutch-pedal assist spring (between the pedal arm and the
firewall) that squeaked for about 6 months before it broke on my 95 Legacy.
One day the squeak stopped and when I got home I found the spring on the
floor. 3$ later I had anotherone.
