Can I shorten the clutch pedal travel on my Forester ?

After driving my 2004 Forester for more than a week
its long clutch pedal travel is still making me feel
very uncomfortable. I've driven a few other cars with
a manual transmission before but never had to pull my
leg up so high to release the clutch pedal. If I move
my seat further back I would have to stretch my left
leg and foot to be able to push the pedal all the way
down to the floor.

If anybody knows of a way to adjust this thing please
let me know.
