Hello, I am new to the subaru world. Engine swap from a 1999 Legacy GT to a 2004 Forester should be pretty straight forward eh? I have a 1999 Legacy 2.5 ltr 178k kms with recent timing belt and headgasket update done. Hit a deer. Just cosmetic damage but would never pass a safety if it is written off because of rust in a dogleg. I can get a 2004 Forester in good shape for an ok price that needs an engine. Weighing my options. Thoughts?
