engine mainteance kit

Has anyone used the engine maintenance kit #SOA868V9341? The dealer wants a $100.00 to put this in. I can buy the kit from Suabaru for $25. Is it worth trying it myself.

It looks like a fuel additive, and two spray chemicals to clean the upper intake parts/bits. As for cost, 100 to do this seems like a fair price with the time it would take them. But if you can do some minor wrenching, and watch a YouTube video on it, should be an easy task.

Better question is....do you need it?
