I have a 2024 Forester with 39,000 miles. Twice this week, the battery has been dead. When it happened the first time
I thought I might have neglected to push the off button. Now I don't know. Has anyone else had this problem?

If only there was a search engine available...this is a well known problem.

I’ve read in a AAA magazine article by a mechanic where it could be a bad battery sensor. I don’t personally know anything about that part but that’s what was stated. Check dealer tsb’s. My wife won’t buy a Subaru bc of this and other issues with Subarus. I own a 2018 forester with 108000 miles. I’ve had ball joint and radio issues but thankfully not this issue.

Purchase AND Install a CHEAP ( ~$25 ) Digital Volt Meter ( WalMart or Auto_Zone, etc.) into one of the covey-holes on your Center Console : hook it p to the Cigarette Lighter also in your Center COnsole area : WATCH to see WHEN AND WHEN-NOT that the System is/IS_NOT charging your Battery ; IF NECESSARY , begin operating your Vehicle with the LIGHTS-ON , or THE AC-ON !

This forces the poorly designed & engineered AND INSTALLED Electrical Charging System to get OFF its Lazy-Behind , and start doing WHAT YOU WANT IT TO DO ... and NOT what "S" Management wants it to do ............ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It IS NOT possible to discuss Charging AND/OR Dead-Battery Issues IF YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT VOLTAGES YOU DO OR DO-NOT HAVE IN YOUR VEHICLE ! This will involve YOU to learn things that you DO NOT know , ... at this TIME !!!!
