Purchase AND Install a CHEAP ( ~$25 ) Digital Volt Meter ( WalMart or Auto_Zone, etc.) into one of the covey-holes on your Center Console : hook it p to the Cigarette Lighter also in your Center COnsole area : WATCH to see WHEN AND WHEN-NOT that the System is/IS_NOT charging your Battery ; IF NECESSARY , begin operating your Vehicle with the LIGHTS-ON , or THE AC-ON !I’ve read in a AAA magazine article by a mechanic where it could be a bad battery sensor. I don’t personally know anything about that part but that’s what was stated. Check dealer tsb’s. My wife won’t buy a Subaru bc of this and other issues with Subarus. I own a 2018 forester with 108000 miles. I’ve had ball joint and radio issues but thankfully not this issue.
