I am thinking of buying a Subaru Baja. Wondering if anyone has thoughts on

My comments on this are a pseudo broken record...lol

Anyways, i'd recommend waiting til your favorite local Subbie dealer has
the 2.5L TURBO available. If you were to get too anxious and opt for my
engine you'd be wanting the turbo.

As far as accessories, i'd recommend the bed extender and the bed cover
(especially if you're in a winter climate, so you don't have to
continually shovel out your bed.)

If you have a Thule/Yakima rack on your prior vehicle, all you need are
a few spare parts from them to be able to place your racks onto the
stock Subaru rack.

Also recommend the sunroof visor.

BUT, check with your dealer on the prices of the above, dealers tend to
overprice, or just not discount, accessories such as these. Because
there's a good number of online Subaru accessory dealers who DO have
competitive prices.

My Baja already had the bed extender, but not the rest, which i ordered
almost the same day i think from online and had within a week. Shipping
was free because i'd been over a certain amount.

Got mine in July and have enjoyed every minute.Every now and then
I've needed a truck but never wanted one full time.The ride is comfortable
and the handlings not bad either.Great in the snow so far.Plus the rest of
the world doesn't own one-like other Subaru's here in Vt.

LOL, yeah i'll testify to this. I've been travelling up to various parts of
VT for over ten years and ever since the Outback came out, its been the
state auto mascot.

I'd love to see stats on it, versus the Big 3, in VT ownership.
