Auto dimming side mirrors

Anyone having issues with the 22 Crosstrek Limited Auto dimming rear view mirror and side view mirror staying dimmed all the time? I noticed the issue after I had to use an adapter for my USB C to my USB a port to hook up my carplay. Service isn't showing any kind of a code thrown but not sure why their Auto dimmed all the time

Maybe the sensor is dirty or covered and it thinks it's dark out? Not sure if it is the same sensor for auto headlights. Do those come on during the day? Maybe the sensor is in the rear-view mirror like mine. If you have a dash cam that may be blocking it.
