Android Auto doesn't connect after update

Yes. Now my ApplePlay doesn't work. The software update "fixed" a problem I didn't have. Now a function I used every day (ApplePlay) doesn't work. I am NOT happy. IPhone is connected and software shows "no device connected." I am also nervous that if this software is flawed, what does that say about the safety software?I just updated software on my Outback 2019 and now Android Auto doesn't connect. It shows "connecting" on the phone after I plug it in, but then nothing happens. It worked before update.
Anyone experienced same issue?
