I have a 2017 Subaru Outback Touring. For the last year or so the Adaptive Cruise Control has not worked properly. The Set +/- button fails about 35% of the time to set or decrease the speed and frequently turns the Lane Keeping Assist function on. Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution? So far, Subaru has been unable to diagnose or fix this problem.

Yes, we also have a 2017 Subaru outback touring and are experiencing the same problem. Everything else is working fine, just the cruise control is not working properly. It started about 6 months ago and seems to be getting worse. Have you been able to figure out what the problem is?

I finally switched dealerships and they fixed it on their first try - replaced the cruise control switch. Wasted over two years at the dealership where I bought my Subaru. They kept installing software upgrades for $500 which accomplished nothing. They would not believe me or the empirical evidence I collected on a 300 mile trip. Fortunately, Subaru paid for most of the troubleshooting and switch replacement, just took forever to get there.

Sadly a lot of the so called mechanics these days, especially car dealer mechanics, are idiots and know noting but what the service manual tells them. It's not their nickle and they could care less because, good or bad they get paid the just the same.
