6/5/23, Bethesda , MD. 2019 Forester (~46k miles, last replace thermal control valve at dealer, 11/2022; no accidents; no problems). Parked for 6hrs overnight in private residential parking lot; 5am car was engulfed in flames (no one was hurt). Fire marshal concluded no malicious act/ arson. Fire started in the engine block (Montgomery Country Fire Report #: 2300069***. Destroyed two adjacent cars from the heat. Reported to Subaru corporate office - under investigation. Have pics but can't appear to post on this forum. Please note and be cautious.
