2018 Subaru Impreza Sudden Loss of Power With No Error Codes

About once a month my Impreza suddenly loses power but does not stall out. No error messages appear. After coming to a full stop, the power returns and the car behaves normally. This usually happens on the highway, but has happened at lower speeds also. If you feed gas during the power loss , you will hear a roar but no acceleration. We have almost been rear ended twice when this happens. The dealer says they cannot duplicate the condition which is to be expected when the car is driven briefly. They suspect the transmission because of the lack of error codes. Any help would be appreciated.
