Just bought a 2017 Outback with Navigation I know the maps are not up to date because most of the roads in my community are missing, my street was built out in 2014 most were built out after 2017. I see I can purchase an update from outside of Subaru. Do I load it on my current SD card or spend $308 and get a new SD card from Subarupartsdeal.com? Don't want to spend $308 but concerned that I might screw up the download and end up with nothing. I could just forget and use my IPhone but the Nav system is a lot safer because the directions are posted on the dash no need to look away from the road.
Would a new card have to be initialized by a dealer?
