We have 2014 2.5 Forester cvt is blown with 98000 miles. Missed 7yr warranty by 3 months but Subaru will pay 50% of 8000 from a subaru dealership repair for remanufactured. Local shop will replace with used for 3500. Both come with 1yr warranty. The question i have is it worth spending that much on it. Will we have head gasket issues later or other major problems? Its paid off so selling it as is or pay for repair then sell? Anyone with comments?
