155k miles
recent oil change
haven’t checked spark plugs.
no codes showing
checked timing belt all good no wear.
the main issue is accelerating. if i’m sitting idle and put it into 1st and go the revs go high but there’s almost no power even if i put my foot flat on the pedal. only once i pick up some momentum does it drive normal but going from 1st to 2de and 3rd feels sluggish
no backfires
no problem starting
no stalling
no rough idling
nothing else except the fact that the revs go high the the actual speed is gone

Have you checked any basic? Air, fuel, spark? IACV might be involved at those miles if it has never been done. (Just put one in my 2000 w/211k.

You figure anything out?

Symptom similar to what I have. 2009, 5spd, idle good, no power. Changed plugs, wires, coil, O2 sensors, MAF, PCV, same problem. No power.
