2008 Impreza 2.5i Automatic Lock while driving

Hello, I have a '08 Impreza 2.5i 5MT

I have owned car for 3ish years now, I am wondering if this car has an auto lock feature while driving. I've seen videos where some newer models use the stereo to engage and disengage feature but my car doesn't have the factory unit. I am willing to grab one from a scrap yard if that's the case.

I also can't seem to find anything on my year auto lock feature. Let me know if it has one and/ or how to enable it.

Those and many new models do not have that feature.
You are correct, modern Subaru models do have that feature.

Look for "Add Auto Lock without an Alarm or Keyless Entry System"

To include this system, seek advice from a professional that is able to test / apply or simply remove the device without destroying the vehicle harness.

The feature is a great idea to stop outside intruders from entering the vehicle without authorization.

Caution: Most vehicles will UNLOCK the doors in the event of an accident when the airbag controller deploys. This feature / addition is NOT proven to unlock the doors.
In the event of airbag deployment, the doors remain latched.
