2007 Subaru Impreza 2.5L, 4 cyl, Automatic 4-spd.

I've had this problem before but I don't know what to do now. I replaced the battery and alternator.

PROBLEM: As I was driving the dash lights began to dim, the ABS light turned on and the car started to brake on it's own. I started slowing down and then the battery light turned on. I kept driving, thinking I could slowly make it home, boy was I wrong. The front of the car started to smoke up a little, after that I immediately pulled over. I couldn't run the vehicle without problems.

After getting towed home I bought a new battery and alternator and replaced both. The car began to run normally without issues. But now, after the car sitting for a few weeks, I jump started it, drove down the street and boom it started dying on me again with the abs and battery light turning on and then completely died. I couldn't start it after without a jumper, and could barely drive before it'd just die again.

I'm a noob at this, so, any thoughts? What can I do??

Hello,
Maybe some roll from the V-belt is blocking? Did you heard some weird nose from V-belt?
It is weird situation, Did you measured the Voltage on the alternator before? I'll try to think more abt it and If I figure out something will let ya know for sure.

Hey Lukas,

Thanks for the response. No there’s no strange noise from the belt. The timing belt is good and I replaced the ac belt. I recently replaced the alternator and tested it again after, it’s working properly. I’m starting to think it has something to do with my starter
