Hi, I purchased the OEM part for this car (83191SA090) which was supposed to work. I installed it with no luck then noticed that the white connector on the new part only had four pins while the original has 6 pins. Is anyone familiar with the differences between the two? Thinking this is why the part is failing. Please refer to images.

Thanks for any info you may have!

Marc

Is this a dealer parts purchase or "internet purchase"?
Automatic or standard transmission?
At the dealer, the parts are searched via the vehicle VIN.
What led you to the replacement?

The part is from subaruelpaso.com and it was the part that was picked by the VIN number. It's an auto transmission.

Thanks for the reply. The car is a 2007 Impreza Outback Sport but I broke down and took it into the shop today. A battle lost but the war rages on!
