So I've got two subaru impreza wagon, both right hand drive and has no key light on instrument panel which I'm guessing means it doesnt have an immobilizer system . One being japanese with hvac/motorized ac controls and a singapore being analog ac controls but disc brakes at rear suspension. Wanted advice on if I were to swap the dashboard and dashboard/main control power window harness along with ac system (as in controls, blower motor and evaporator) from the japanese to the singapore and vice versa cause I want the modernized ac control on the singapore as it runs better and has rear disc brakes. Also Both are EJ15 engines where the egr has been blanked off on the japanese due to the engine bay harness and intake manifold to be from an EJ16 that the car originally came with.
1) Would the two cars start and run perfect or would there be a difference in the jacks (pin out)?
2) Do I need to swap both ecu together with the harness swap?
3) Would the system throw any codes?
4) Would I need to swap the ignition set up as well even if there isn't any immobilizer?
5) Or should I just get the both ac control rewired into each vehicles insead of swapping harnesses?
6) Open to any suggestions as I'm not familiar too much, thank you.
