any good non-dealer service mechanics for subaru in Ottawa area?

1. watch out for driver's side HG coolant/oil seepage and passenger's
side oil seepage; as a rule oil seeps in a summer, and coolant during
winter months; just watch the levels of both fluids and replenish if
necessary; also - in order to avoid catastrophic damage to your head
gaskets, take it easy with accelerator pedal ( no green light
racing...), and make sure special sealant was added to antifreeze by a
dealer - pursuant to one of Subaru recalls

2. service your transmission, FRONT and REAR differentials on
regular basis

3. in a case of flat tire, never drive on "mini spare" or - as some
call it "donut" tire - either have your car towed (flatbed!) to tire
shop or just have someone bring you extra tire w/rim; make sure tires
are exactly same size - as a regular maintenance procedure, rotate
front- to- rear - every 6K miles ( 10K kilometers, if you live in
Canada), and if you buy new tires, put on all four

4. replace pcv valve every 2 years ( 2.5 subie 4's are real
sensitive to pressure buildup in crankcase, and if pcv valve is
clogged they easily blow front crank seal)

you are buying a great automobile, good luck !
