What types of fluids do you use?

Hello, I am new to the sight. Just looking to see what types of fluids people are using for the maintenance on their Subaru's. I am currently looking to change my front differential fluid, however obtaining the Subaru Extra MT 75W-80 fluid is proving to be a challenge in anything smaller then a 5 gallon jug. Also, the 75W-90 GL-5 gear oil they say can be used as an alternative is a question from me, considering the Extra MT fluid is 75W-80. So, what do you guys use? Success and horror stories all welcome!
Just in case someone is wondering what I have put in my 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness:
Amsoil 0W16 O.E. engine oil.
Amsoil 75W-90 in rear differential.
Amsoil CVT Fluid in, well, the CVT of course!

Not an Amsoil fan. I use Mobil 1 engine oil and an oversized filter when I can get one, and Durablend in the front and rear boxes, but I have that last of that. They stopped making it in our grade years ago.

Last I looked, my dealer sold their gear oil in quarts. Maybe shop around?

Also, is this the same as the other note or is there something different?

I can tell you that when I tried full synth in the front of my Subarus, they barely shifted. That's why I use Durablend.

There's a ton of it available in a flavor your car should enjoy. You're being WAY too anal about this.

I began using Amsoil in my rock crawler but found it hard to come by so I changed to Mobil One and some Redline for some of the gear boxes. I had high pinion differentials so needed some thick stuff like Red Line Severe Gear for those boxes. I actually used a blend of severe gear and regular 75W90 in the differentials because the high pinions can easily become starved of lube. But in all cases I use only pure synthetic lube oils. Except for breaking in new gears when I use regular Dino juice. The synthetic is too slippedy for the gears to wear or lap in so after break in I switch out to pure synthetic but for break in purposes only, dyno oil.

Which Amsoil product did you use in your rock crawler?

I used their motor oil and gear oil and even had some of their grease. But their stuff was hard to come by so later on I switched to more easy to get lubes like Mobile 1 synthetic 10W30 motor oil. I had a lot of their gear oil for gear boxes so used it along with some Red Line blended in the diffs.
