Tyranny fluid

All the years of running outbacks and foresters never changed the tranny fluid... this one's got 210,000 miles on it & I'm gonna do it!?.... just wondering do you have to use the Subaru tranny fluid or is there something out there that would be better?.... I need the best I can get because it's slipping a little bit ....I will use synthetic.... just wondering if anybody has any ideas what's the best stuff I can possibly use??? ... also putting in a bottle of 10 oz Lubegard Platinum tranny fluid protectant .... Unless somebody convinces me there's something better to use?.....thanks!!!
