Tires for an '89 'GL' 3-door coupe

The car has 185/70-13's on it. The glove box specifies 175/70-13s, or
optional 185/70-13s.

A friend of mine gave me 4 175/70-13 studded ice/snow tires.

I'm willing to bet, since this is an AWD model, that *ALL* tires need to
be the same size, n'est ce pas?

Or, does this car have a viscous coupling that allows for different size
tires on different axles?

All need to be the same size. Don't mix tire sizes on a Subaru.
