what is ' Kit: PKA40 ' ?

I THINK it is some parts or maybe fluids used for 30K service. Or
maybe just sparkplugs? belts?

It is on a repair ticket.

thanx in advance

Sorry, since AT&T dropped Usenet, I haven't been on it as much- I will
have to wait until Monday to ask parts- it isn't ringing any bells for
me today....

Yeah, I am trying to get accustomed to google groups access as my AT&T
uverse dropped Usenet.

It could be a 'code' used internally at the dealership. Just
wondering.

Google Groups sucks. When Verizon cut their news service back to
near uselessness I switched to news.individual.net. For only 10
Euros a year (about $14) news.individual.net provides fast, reliable
news servers with almost zero spam. No binaries, however.

I also happened to notice there was no reduction in price for my
service after losing usenet access.

sigh

Google is an extremely BAD way to read and post in newsgroups. It's also
blocked by many newsproviders due to all the all the spam posted via
GargleGropes.
The majority of that spam is done by people from the "south asia
subcontinent" (aka India) flogging Blogspot (also Gargle) sites to get
"click money" from AdSense(another Gargle enterprise

You may want to look into:

**I was pissed to lose Usenet service since it was one of the main
reasons that I got online in the first place. I love the fact that
there was no reduction in price probably because they figure no one
uses it anymore. Well, I do! So, it was like they removed a really BIG
part of their service to me with no price drop.

Like others have said, avoid Google Groups. Someone posted the address
to eternal september. I'm using that service now and, so far, I find
it quite good.

I will definitely check out E-S.org soon.

thanx guys - I monitor 5-6 newsgroups and occasionally post to others
as the need arises.

Yup. Every once in a while it hiccups, but overall, it's great.

Sorry, but quoting is hosed for this reply so I added some >>>

Teranews has a free (for a one time $4.00 signup) Usenet service, binaries
and text. 50Mb/day downloads and after some reprogramming early in the year,
it is now quite stable. I also have a $5/mo account with newsrazor with
something like a 5Gb/month bandwidth allowance, which seems to roll-over
since I have 58Gb of capacity left this month. Fairly long article retention
too.

Based upon the code they use the same system we do. Anytime it says
"Kit" the dealership has gathered up several items to do a specific
job, and assigned a number to them. Example being the oil separator
plate behind the flywheel, it consists of 1 plate 5 of one bolt and
one of another, all listed as individual parts on the Subaru parts
breakdown. We have ours configured so that we can put in Kit 1234 and
have all the parts for that job listed and priced as one unit.

Visit web site and register for free. No binaries but rock solid
feed for text groups. It's my backup from the ever unreliable
service by my ISP.

DK

P.S. Google groups not just sucks, it's not a usenet to begin with.

Would the PKA40 be the same at all dealerships? What's in it?
