Replacing Valve body Solenoids

Hi all.

So I've got a few error codes, some clear P0971 doesn't. P2763 did, P1572 did (might not be related as its Immobiliser).
I intended to replace all 4? solenoid valves.

My questions are;

do these parts look right (as in not too cheap / likely to be faulty)

As the valve cover is on top, do I need to drain and replace any oil and do I need any specialist tools?

Thanks

Sorry didn't add.

Yeah I appreciate that, but parts in New Zealand are expensive, cars done over 200k and I need it to last 6 months.

They're just solenoid valves, the worst that can happen is they stop working again. I'll measure the resistance of the old ones and only replace those that are out of spec.

I've ordered them now along with a new gasket and o rings. Found a YouTube video of it being done and it's a pretty simple job (once the top cover is off!!)

Thanks for your response though, I did consider original parts and Subaru here will sell the solenoids separately, but still 3x the price.

It’s smart to replace the solenoids, but I’d double-check the part numbers and reviews. cheap ones can cause more headaches down the line

I've actually ordered an OEM which is the one I think has failed (based on the fault code) after having a think about draganm comment this morning. I'm hoping the others are in spec and I just need to replace this one.

The car is actually off the road now, if I get some time I'll get to it sooner so that I can measure the resistance of them all soon.

I admire your bravery.
