Rear View Camera Not Working After Leak from 3rd Taillight

Hi all, I have a 2014 OB 3.6 R and the reverse camera had been coming on and off for a few months usually showing a black screen when I would go into reverse. Right now, the infotainment system doesn't even change when I put it in reverse (no black screen, no camera, as if it doesn't even realize that I have put it in reverse). The reverse lights still work.
Note that I had a leak coming in from the 3rd taillight which I DIY repaired (there was quite a bit of water coming in!)
I am thinking of picking up a camera from the local scrapyard but just wanted to see if there are any tests that I should run first since the console isn't even switching.
