Hi all, I’ve got my brand new Subaru Forester MY23 delivered today.
I found the steering wheel is not centered. When the car goes straight, the wheel is about 5-10 degrees left.
May I please ask what is the potential cause? Does this matter much or hinting serious issues behind?
Thanks
Kindly

If the car's not pulling you one way to the extent that it feels unsafe, a small degree one way or the other may not be an issue at all. If you're worried, have the dealer carry out a wheel alignment (they should do it for free if you're not happy with the alignment on delivery), if it remains slightly out, it could be the car compensating for the fact that you wouldn't be driving on a 100% level surface. If you're tyre's are wearing unevenly at your first service, point this concern out to them. Do you have a 1 month safety inspection in a month's time? Maybe consider asking them to check alignment at that time.
