Hey, new here. I am looking at a 2011 2.5i Premium Outback with about 150,000 miles and a couple of different codes, they are: C0045 & P0971. They are only asking 2k... Is this a good deal??? A local mechanic said the valve body was most likely the cause of at least one of the codes. (I don't remember if he said one or both of them...)
It does have new tires. Also, the owner said the codes started 2 to 3 months after a different local mechanic did a trans fluid change. (related??) The owner states that it has no current issues with the drivability, just that he is unsure of how long it will remain drivable with the issues... The only other thing he mentioned was that he bought a new battery not long before the lights popped up, since the lights came on, he has parked it for about 6-8 months starting it occasionally until it would not start any more do to the battery being dead.
Any tips or suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks in advanced!
