HIGHEST GAS PRICES

system you invented, let's see um how about METRIC. We are all tired of
converting so y'all can understand, eh!

So why not just save yourself some of that heavy work and just post in
your local currency and units of measure... I think most of us here are
capable of doing our own conversions as required.

Fair comments all. As the OP, I was just pointing out the problem of a
global medium like the internet and all the local measurements, standards,
laws, specifications etc.

I do question why the American gallon is unique. All other "gallons" are
based on the 160oz Imperial measure. I like a pint to be 20oz (fewer beers
to order that way).

Metric Advantages,
A system where water freezes at 0, boils at 100.
A liter (1000ml), weighs a Kilo (1000gr)

and on and on it goes, Metric is easy, logical and practical, it's the
converting that's a pain in the ass.

How many feet, (or yards) in a mile anyway who can remember?

In imperial (or American) measure working between units of mass, distance,
volume etc. with all of the different units, inches, pounds, ounces is
really illogical and cumbersome, isn't it?

What's the highest gas prices in your area (converted to $US, please).

Using the following site for $ conversions;
http://www.xe.net/cgi-bin/ucc/convert

Melbourne Australia, $1.31 Aussie Dollars per litre = US$ 1.006 per litre.
Expected to rise to $1.45 by the end of the week = US$1.113 per litre.

Daily driver is a MY99 OBW Auto. I drive 110 Km per day.
I get about 8.3L/100km economy from it.

My 318Ci V8 Valiant Charger is still pretty good on the petrol

You can't have go without flow!

Gas in Nova Scotia, Canada is $1.119 per litre. I am getting 7.8
litres/100 combined on my 05 OBW and a best tank (of 64 litres) of 7.5.

I will not convert to US gallons (or any other gallon), do it yourself!

I will say that I would prefer mm/cm to inches i hate the whole 5/8in
crap. on the other hand, how tall are you, 5’10" or 1.78meters we
just need a simple standard for everything, language, numbers, text,
etc. this world is no longer hundreds of different stand alone places.
very few things upset me as much as having to call someone who speaks
(insert language here) to translate simple instructions. If I even
took a vacaton to germany, china, mexico, canada, etc I would be
expected to know enough of the language to get by, why can people live
in the US and expect me to know what language they speak.
