I now own a 2007 Forester XT. My turbo is making noise, a loud whistling and I'm wondering if I need to replace the turbo or just the core? (canister). Help. Is that a big job?

Loud whistling is pretty vague. Where is the whistling coming from. Is it possible that the whistling is the turbo spooling up? Do the car run rough? More info needed to help. Its possible it could just be a simple vacuum leak.

check if yours is one of them that have filters on turbo oil lines. Fikter clogs
