my check engine light is flashing after i turned over my new engine w/o connected plugs to see if it built oil pressure. no code comes up when i test for them. could i just reset ecu and be okay?

The CEL is flashing because the plugs are not connected. It thinks you have s serious misfire, which of course you do with the plugs disconnected. Connect the coils to the plugs and hope you didn't destroy the coils by leaving them disconnected. If the coils still work, then when the engine starts, the CEL should go out.
