Engine Oil Filter Change

Hi I just got my first subaru used, it's an outback 2020 limited and I got it about 2 months ago. Recently it has been displaying a message saying "change engine oil filter" but I'm confused because the oil doesn't need to be changed for another 6k miles and I thought those 2 things were typically changed together? Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this or knows if it is normal for subarus?

They may have reset the oil change miles, but the system reads its needing changed... All I can think of. Buy from a lot or privet party?
