EJ25 engine without compression

My 2004 Subaru Outback gasoline engine (EJ253) won't start. It has very low compression in the cylinders; the compression readings are [8, 4.5, 3.5, 2] bar.

The engine overheated and the head gaskets blew. It sat for a few years and water got into all four cylinders. The cylinder heads have been cleaned and rebuilt. I checked the compression, and it was barely reaching 2 bar in each cylinder. I added a little oil, and the compression increased significantly, so the piston rings must be rusted or stuck to the piston and not sealing properly.

I've been adding 30ml of acetone and 30ml of ATF to each cylinder, moving the crankshaft in short forward and backward movements, completing full crankshaft revolutions, and tilting the car from one side to the other at 12 o'clock (that's what happens with a boxer engine...). I've been doing this for three days. I've managed to increase the compression a little, but not enough to get it started.

Do you have any other ideas on how to increase compression, besides hiring a crane to remove the engine and replace the piston rings?

Replace the engine. You[ll never win this battle without a complete rebuild and a swap is much cheaper.

What he said. Its slightly possible that actually running the engine might improve things but best to consider that unit gone.
