I am in the market for a 1st-2nd gen forester xt. I have seen a lot that have bodies that are in good shape, but really high mileage on the motor. Eventually, I would like to STI swap it, but until I feel I am confident in my mechanical experience, I would like something a little easier. So my question is, how hard is it to swap a lower mileage xt motor into a forester?
