My wife left a subaru wrx back on the west coast with family and now wants it back for sentimental reasons. They would like it gone so I'm planning to fly out, pick it up and do all the transfers and drive it across country. Timing belt was done within the last 5 years. Not terrible on miles or damage over the years. I have experience as an over the road mechanic and a locomotive engines but have never worked on a subaru. Is there any advice that can be given as far as what to look for over the trip? I plan on shipping some tools out a week before to have on hand just in case. Any and all advice as to what tools for emergency use or quick repairs would be appreciated greatly.
Thank you.
