Brand new 2008 Forester

Just bought a 2008 forester with 13,500 miles. Garage kept and never driven in the rain. Original tires, all maintenance records, was bought to take dogs to vet and to Krystals on Friday for hamburgers. It is a ll bean edition and is in like new condition. My main concern is timing belt, can that be inspected for condition? Thanks for replies, Jim
